MINUTES

LAGRANGE CITY COUNCIL

MAY 3, 2010

CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT Elsie Carter, Mayor, Josh Nagy, Administrative Assistant, Graham Whatley, City Attorney and Stephanie Cooper, City Clerk.

COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT Wally Nay, Jean Knight, Melanie Woosley, Tom Goldsmith, Joe Davenport, Jason Taylor and Linda Hall.  Debbie Pollard was absent.

Mayor Carter called the meeting at 6:44 p.m.  Mayor Carter led Council and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR APRIL 5, 2010 MEETING  Councilwoman Hall made motion to approve April 5, 2010 minutes, seconded by Councilman Goldsmith.  The motion in favor of passed unanimously, 7 to 0.

LAGRANGE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT  Chief Collett gave a 2009 annual report for the police department and discussed the code enforcement board.   

PUBLIC COMMENT                No comment.

DISCOVER DOWNTOWN LAGRANGE REPORT    Barbara Edds was not present but the report was handed out before council meeting.

NEW BUSINESS/COMMITTEE REPORTS  Council and Mayor discussed audit and budget issues.

ADJOURN   Mayor Carter adjourned meeting at 7:18 p.m.
